No action against genuine alternative medicine doctors

Now, here the government has given "alternative medicine"( ayurveda) the right to practice its own creation, SURGERY.  The same government should take steps to initiate betterment of ayurvedic institutions.

  1. father of surgery belongs to ayurveda, but ayurvedic surgery is in a pitiable condition.i strongly feel that the surgical aspects of ayurveda should be deeply validated, to find the antiseptic measures that were carried out in those days and the efficacy in current scenario, also to probe and find about ayurvedic anaesthetic measures.if we are able to find a solution for these 2 things then ayurvedic surgery can be carried out in a manner that is commendable.else i feel this law may not help ayurvedic system and may significantly reduce the number of people who practice pure ayurveda.

  2. wow!!thats a news for me......its nice to know about it but unless we are able to apply our principles in the right manner ,success will be tough.....i think its we who shopuld at the primary levels start working on the simplest of procedures like....sadyo vedana sthapana which v may as well interprate with anaesthesia, similarly sadyo shonitha sthapana etc.....acharya charaka has infact given us the "dashaemanis" ...may be its time for us to take the step to implement such small practises,to start with the simplest of cases...and once we succeed n thus "prove" it to the public we can confidently go on further in a very big way.

  3. I don't understand the basic reason behind putting SURGERY away from Ayurveda. Are the Alopathy Rats playing a game on it. We Indians accept all what the English say, and in this case too... India should ave been the sole country for Ayurvedic Literature, but we will only accept our own vedic knowledge when they will say " YES, Surgery a part of Ayurveda ".

Until then this struggle will continue...

So GOODLUCK to all upcoming "Ayurvedic DOCTORS"

  4. Yes, agnivesh, The concept of surgery is one and the same, be it ayurveda or allopathy. The technology for reducing pain has improved and as the acharyas have said, we must be on par with the developing methods and also other "sciences". Instead of calling it an "alternative medicine" more emphasis should be made on making the doctors self sufficient in their science.

  5. Pooja is right, Ayurveda is a science meant for trikala...kaliyuga is just a short span, so the authenticity and uncertainties of its pertinence in today' s world is trivial. The resources available at hand are too vast and the right usage will definitely bring about a turn of events.

  6. Dear anonymous, the field of allopathy , if traced back, originated from ayurveda. Hippocrates was a loyal follower of the science which with time grew and just as every other field, underwent modifications..and the end product is what we see now. There were various incidents which caused a chaos on the practice of ayurveda. A look into Indian history will speak for it.
